Terms of service

Plain-language terms. They will get longer as the product does.

1. What Whosin is

Whosin is a planning and cost-splitting tool. We are not a marketplace, a ticket seller, a travel agency, or a bank. Purchases made for a plan happen outside Whosin, with merchants we have no relationship with.

2. Your account

You're responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your login to yourself, use a real email, and don't impersonate other people.

3. What you owe

3. Authorizations and charges

Joining a plan commits you to your even share of what it really costs, up to that plan's stated max budget per person. Whosin does not move that money. You settle up with the organizer directly, and your share will never exceed the max you agreed to when you joined.

Joining a plan authorizes a hold on your card up to that plan's stated max budget per person. The organizer may charge the group up to that amount. Your share of any charge will never exceed the max you agreed to when you joined.

4. Organizers

Organizers agree to post only the real costs of the plan as described. Misusing that is grounds for removal and whatever else our lawyers think of.

5. Disputes

We show every member the full breakdown of every charge. Disagreements about whether the nachos counted as a group expense are, respectfully, yours.

6. The service

We may change or discontinue features as this grows. We'll be loud about anything that affects money.
